Key Benefits of Easter Revision

  • Student-centred tuition
Tuition is very much geared towards the needs of individual students, following a carefully structured programme.
  • Small classes
The maximum class size on our Easter revision courses is eight, the average is four per group, allowing for ample individual attention.
  • Past-paper question practice
Students are supplied with revision packs which contain revision notes and past paper questions. These are used extensively throughout each revision course.
  • Guide to revision and exam technique
Many students find revision a daunting, arduous task, and so on our courses we teach students study techniques and how to organise a revision schedule. Much emphasis is also placed on exam technique.
  • FREE Saturday revision sessions
All participants on our core Easter courses are invited to join our summer term Saturday revision sessions at no extra cost.
Course Structure

Each course follows a carefully designed programme, covering the key elements of the syllabus with emphasis on problem areas. Students are given a revision pack which contains past paper questions and revision notes.

Each modular AS-level course runs over 2 days and covers the material related to a specific syllabus and exam board for a single AS unit. Each GCSE course also runs over 2 days and covers the material related to a single GCSE subject, exam board and tier i.e. foundation, intermediate or higher. All courses begin at 9.30 am on each day and end at 5.30pm. with an hour's break for lunch.

Tuition is very much geared towards a specific syllabus and examination board, and tutors work through a wide and varied selection of past-paper questions, demonstrating the importance of good examination technique. Students are also taught how to question spot and maximise marks awarded.

Although the majority of each day is devoted to going over key points on the syllabus and tackling exam questions, students are also given hints on how to improve their study skills, so that their revision becomes highly focussed and exam-orientated.

At the end of each course, students will have a short test based on the work covered, and a report will be written assessing their performance and providing useful advice on how they may improve further.

Our ongoing assessment programme improves examination technique by combining weekly subject tests and formal monthly mock exams.  more
