BMAT - BioMedical Admission Test
BMAT is a subject-specific admissions test compulsory for applicants to certain medical, veterinary science and related courses at the institutions listed below (see www.bmat.org.uk for more info).

UKCAT - UK Clinical Aptitude Test
The UKCAT is a compulsory aptitude test for applicants to the UK medical and dental schools listed below. It does not contain any curriculum or science content but focuses on exploring thinking and analytical skills, attributes considered to be valuable for health care professionals. LNAT - National Admission Test for Law
The LNAT is a non subject-specific aptitude test used by the universities listed below to help them distinguish between applicants to Law undergraduate programmes. Questions are designed to test powers of comprehension, interpretation, analysis and deduction. (see www.lnat.ac.uk for more info).

Course Information
Courses
Each course consists of a full day starting at 10.30 and ending at 5.30. They are scheduled throughout August, September and October as shown below. To register please complete the enclosed registration form or register online at www.albemarle.org.uk.

Most students taking the UKCAT and LNAT courses will be new to aptitude tests and so they are taught strategies on how to approach the tests, as well as given a throrough explanation as to the structure and content of each test. They then focus on practising questions, identifying weaknesses and study techniques. Students are also given revision packs to take home for further practice.

The BMAT course covers the full range of aptitudes and skills required to take the test, as well as the Key Stage 4 Core Science and Higher Mathematics needed for the scientific knowledge and applications part of the test. Through intensive question practice students build confidence and learn valuable test-taking skills. Students are also given revision packs to take home for further practice.

The BMAT test can be taken at Albemarle on Wednesday 31st October, whereas the LNAT and UKCAT tests must be taken at Pearson VUE High Street centres (see websites for dates and to register).
