Course Structure
Each two day course follows a carefully designed programme, covering the key elements of the syllabus with emphasis on problem areas. The one day revision courses are much more intensive, covering selected areas of the syllabus.
Each student is supplied with a comprehensive revision pack, which includes revision notes and past paper questions.
Tuition in each subject is very much geared towards a specific syllabus and examination board. Tutors work through a wide and varied selection of past paper questions, demonstrating the importance of good examination technique. Students are taught how to question spot and maximise marks awarded.
The majority of each course is devoted to going over key points on the syllabus and tackling exam questions, but students are also given advice on how to improve their study skills, so that their revision becomes highly-focused and exam-orientated. The small class sizes allow tutors to tailor the courses very much to the needs of each individual student.
At the end of each course students are given a short test, and a report is written providing useful advice on how they may improve further.
The Benefits of Christmas Revision
- Student Centred Tuition - Tuition is very much geared towards the needs of individual students, following a carefully structured programme.
- Small Classes - The average class size on our Chrismas revision courses is five students, allowing for plenty of individual help.
- Past-paper Question Practice - Questions from past exam papers are used extensively throughout each course, and students are taught proper exam technique.
- Revision Hints - Many students find revision a daunting, arduous task and therefore during the course we teach study techniques which help to make revision less tedious and more effective.
- Revision Pack - Students are supplied with revision packs which contain past-paper questions, revision notes, and examiners' tips and hints.
