This is a unique programme designed for students wishing to pursue Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry and other medical science courses at university.
The key feature of the programme is a series of weekly seminars in which students are introduced to topics of current medical interest, and discussions are held around these topics. Professionals from the medical and biosciences fields are also invited to give talks to students and provide mentoring for those wishing to enter the Medical or Dental profession, or indeed work in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Work experience is also a key feature of this programme and through our network of professional contacts we are able to secure work experience placements for students in a variety of institutions, both in the UK and abroad. Special courses are also run to provide tutoring for the UCAT tests for students wishing to apply for medical, dental and biomedical courses at universities.
The programme is led by Dr James Patterson, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and the Head of Science at Albemarle.
The UCAT course focuses on strategies for how to approach the test, as well as question practise, study techniques and identifying weaknesses in reasoning and decision analysis.
