ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The AS-Level Programme
(Lower Sixth)
The prerequisite for entry to the lower sixth is generally 5 passes at GCSE (Grade B or above) or a suitable equivalent. For some AS-Level subjects a pass in the same subject at GCSE is required. Most students take 4 subjects at AS level and, in line with university preferences, one of these is generally a contrasting subject chosen from Mathematics, English, a foreign language or Information Technology.

The A-Level Programme
(Upper Sixth)
Students joining us in their second year of A-Levels will generally elect to do 3 subjects at A-Level with some choosing an additional AS subject. These courses are suited to students who have completed one or more years of study at A-Level. Some A-Level courses such as Psychology and Photography may be taken over one year without any prior knowledge of the subject.
