Attendance (Tier 4 students)

Albemarle College is legally required to monitor all Tier 4 sponsored students and to maintain attendance records, reporting non-attendance to the Home Office (UKVisas) where necessary.

Students are expected to attend all timetabled lessons, as well as additional study sessions and meetings with Personal Tutors and/or Curriculum Managers.

An Unauthorised Absence is defined as such if a student does not contact the College Administrator on the day of absence.

Albemarle College has to notify the Home Office (UKVI) if 10 consecutive contact points have been missed as part of our Sponsorship agreement with a student. A contact point is the equivalent of a school day, during which a student may have between one and five lessons.
